A good leader should think positive and this positive approach should be visible through your actions. Stay calm under pressure and keep the motivation level up. John Quincy Adams once said “If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.” If you are successful in inspiring your subordinates and influencing them to take big success oriented decision, you’re a great leader in the making and you can easily overcome any current and future challenge easily.

What can you learn about leadership?
Many people believe that good leaders are born with those skills and that the skills cannot be taught to others. This is just not true, learning about theories and models, face-to-face training and experience can be combined to develop a strong leader, not regarding of their natural abilities. In fact, even the greatest leaders are constantly learning and are likely to have learnt most of their leadership skills from someone else. The important thing is to never believe you have learnt all.
Building this set of features and becoming an efficient leader can make you a very valuable asset to any organisation and is likely to see you financially rewarded for the skills you develop. There is no ‘one size fits all’ style of leadership and no two leaders are the same. Therefore, as you develop your own leadership technique you should not worry that it is not straight out of the textbook.
