💡 THOUGHTS FROM ME
I. If you’re hesitant about giving that new idea, dream, or desire a try, remember this:
“Most people wish they started sooner. Almost nobody wishes they started later.”
Three years from now, what will your future self wish you had done?

II. Practice doesn’t make perfect, it makes permanent. If you practice wrong, you’ll “play” wrong. In the areas of life where you are “practicing” to improve, make sure you are practicing correctly. Reflect on these questions to see whether or not your practice is leading you in the right direction:
-
Am I getting the proper feedback (or any at all)?
-
Am I taking the time to learn and research, or am I only trying to figure it out as I go?
-
Am I implementing rhythms of consistent and regular times to practice?
If you want to play better, be careful how you practice.

Ancient Greek poet Hesiod on how to be great:
“If you add only a little to a little and do this often, soon that little will become great.”
📖 1 BRIEF BOOK REVIEW
Bad Therapy by Abigail Shrier
An excellent and much needed book. It is written for parents in particular, but I would still recommend this to everyone regardless of if you have kids.
In our day, we assume therapy is always good for you, and neutral at worst. With research and data, Shrier shows how therapy, medicine, and the overall therapeutic environment kids are raised in lead to harmful results.
She is not anti-therapy or anti-help, but it needs to be necessary, appropriate, and the right kind. At times her tone could come across as a little brash, but it doesn’t take away from the truth of what she writes.
If you want to raise resilient kids and be more resilient yourself, this book is for you. I highly recommend it.
